Thanks for replying. Yes, it was a direct replacement but it wasn't on the waste outlet, it was where the water comes in and splits to the washing maching/dishwasher.

Hello, can anyone explain why my dishwasher and washing machine are not completing their cycles since I put a new Y piece in earlier today? Both started fine and have water in them but just stopped mid way through and started flashing lights at me!! Thanks in advance.
