Hi there. I've just removed some skirting boards in a room and found something that's puzzling me.
On all of the walls, whether it be an exterior/brick wall or plaster board, there has been a gap of about 10cm left where the wall doesn't touch the floor. Is there a specific reason why this has...
Turns out a screen fastening the metal trim to the frame has portion loose and the head was doing me opening it. A bit of brute force and a slightly chipped but of PVC got it open. Probably need to use a wider diameter screw though as it will come loose again soon.
Thanks for the tips.
Good day.
I have a UPVC window in my bathroom that unlatches (Or so it seems) but when I come to open it, it moves about 5mm then stops. I have posted a video (Link below) to better illustrate the problem.
As ever, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Was going to enquire about that. I'm going to take a trip to B&Q and ScrewFix this afternoon. Any tips with applying the silicone? Or is it just a case of watching YouTube videos.
Thanks again.
Thanks Crank39. It seemed pretty well ventilated but I'll investigate it further. There's no condensation on the windows.
If I use a chemical to get rid of excess sealant, will it damage the UPVC?
Good day. I'm new hear so not sure if something like this is posted often, apologies if so.
The sealant between my UPVC windows is mouldy. A couple of questions.
Can I remove the sealant? Is it just silicon sealant? Or is there another way to remove the mould.
Pictures of said sealant below...
