Hello everyone Can you tell me what these white spots are , on these two areas of brickwork, please, and how to remove it? It's around 20 years old , so thinking it's possibly some kind of lichen , rather than efflorescence? Just trying to decide if I can clean up the area in the bottom picture...

The RCD is a spur from an indoor socket . The parent socket is working , but I'll check the wiring at the weekend .

hope this helps . Forgot to mention , we had a smart meter installed recently , and part of the old consumer unit was replaced .
