Thank you gordongas for your reply, regardless of whether is should be 22 or 28, am I right in saying it should not be 15mm and could this be the casue of the low gas pressure?
Getting it sorted is all I want to do, I was hoping to get the answers to whether a new pipe should have been installed and to what diameter it should be 22 or 28mm and whether that was the cause of the loss in pressure so I am well informed and don't end up with more dodgy work being done.
This situation is 100% genuine and I would not be stupid enough to try and install a boiler myself, I have no idea when it comes to gas or electrics for that matter and so leave it to people who I trust do. I came on here for advice and yet some people see it as an outlet to abuse others which...
The boiler did cut out when the bar pressure dropped too low. The Vaillant engineer was from Vaillant themselves, I called them as I thought the boiler might be faulty when the bar kept dropping and read something about a balloon in the boiler that could be the problem. Its seems like everyone...
I do have the installation manual and have even downloaded a new one as page 19 does not say anything about using a 15mm diameter pipe, I'm thinking you may be looking at a different installation manual, this is the one for my boiler...
Update
I have now managed to contact one of the plumbers, I have NOT told him that the boiler has a warning notice or that the gas has been turned off but just that it is losing bar pressure to which he has said there is probably a leak and he can add a liquid solution to the system to seal any...
Thanks everyone for your replies, I should clarify a few points as I think I have been misunderstood on a few things.
I was having a new kitchen fitted along with a new boiler, the kitchen fitter recommended the 2 plumbers to me (I thought they were working for themselves/had their own company)...
I would be grateful if anyone could help advise/clear up the following situation for me. I recently (May2016) had a new Combi Boiler (Vaillant Ecotec 835) fitted to my 3 bed 1.5bathroom house that has 8 radiators and no other gas appliances by 2 gas engineers who work for a very large (over 130...
