Thanks bas I am aware I can get larger bulbs and ones with a lower wattage. I was hoping for a bit more help...they are so dated I just wanted to make them look pretty :D ....might just get my sledgehammer out the garage and take down the lowered ceiling, that would get rid of them :roll:

Thanks we have used the large bulbs too but they look so ugly and it's a small room so they are far too bright. I'll have a look at the converter kit I didn't realise you could get these, thanks for your help Corinne

Hi I have four recessed spotlights in my kitchen can you by covers for them? Or some how change them? Thanks for and advice Corinne
