    Fiesta ABS warning light

Hi neo  . Thanks for your reply. I have now started to get a rumbling noise as if the pads are catching on the discs this noise fades away when I apply the brakes. I have removed both wheels today but nothing appears to be wrong. Looks like a trip to the local Ford Dealers in the morning...

    Fiesta ABS warning light

Hi folks  , I have an 05 Fiesta style with 24,000 on the clock. A couple of days ago I had to brake a bit sharpish, I felt the ABS doing it`s job through the pedal. However, a day or so later the ABS warning light came on and has been on ever since. Typical! as it is due its first MOT...

Hi all  this is my sons 1st car having only just passed his test and he was trying to tell me what was going wrong. The way he was describing the loss of power I interpreted that as being engine problem, and the burning smell to be electrical. However, after quite a while racking my...

    Driveshaft rumble???

Hi softus, there was a noticeable clonk when taking up drive, this has now gone because I replaced the CV. I didn`t think the CV joint was the cause of the noise but there was a bit of play in it. originaly the bearing was worn causing the hub to heat up. There was also excesive play in...

    Driveshaft rumble???

Hi all, this is getting silly now  I have today replaced the CV joint on the "noisy" side and repacked the other end with grease. Put the wheels back on and guess what? STILL NOISY (sorry for shouting). I cannot see anything I have done to cause this. There was no noise prior to me...

    Driveshaft rumble???

Just tried it again with wheels removed and lower arms supported. In low gear and both hubs turning there is a bit of a rumble/knock. However, if I stop and hold the hub on the side that appears to rumble/knock the noise stops. If I stop and hold the other hub then the noise from the other side...

Hi gang, me again. Just replaced wheel bearings/suspension arm/trackrod ends/brake discs and pads on both sides of fiesta. Now I have a rumbling noise from the driveshaft. I think maybe it was on its way out and with my disturbing it whilst replacing these parts has caused this noise...

    Wheel bearing trouble

Hi Markie, it`s a precision fit therefore there is no room for it to be knocked off. It has to be pulled off evenly. I just wondered if it could be heated up and clamped in a vice and removed that way....
