    Cement Mix

What mix do you need for precast finish, like this: I'm looking for a smooth look much like you find on a lot of buildings and civil projects these days. Thanks

    Scribing Molded Wooden Profile

Hi, I have a few profiles which I'd like to cut together, much like this: Although this is a stock image, it is quite indicative of the profiles I'd like to cut as none of them are against a flat surface on which to trace around the profile shown. How do you go about tracing the profile of...

    Garden chipper

Knowing my luck they'd have the floor boards and joists too... Or worst still, knowing the beavers we have round here, leave the reeds and just take the floor boards and joists. They'd then claim to be too full to take on the reeds.

    Garden chipper

Definately not a good idea since these are indoors :D:D

    Garden chipper

So, as I understand the replies, a slab or slow speed cutter would probably be ok for the reeds but no cutter would be any good for nails... Is that correct? Thanks

    Garden chipper

I have a lot of reeds which were used as insulation above the laths in my property, so was thinking of getting a wood chipper as this would also be useful in the garden and certainly deal with the reeds. ? But, the further thought occurs as to whether there are any recommendations for chippers...

    Removing mushroom mold from joists

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll have to address this sooner rather than later than I planned

    Removing mushroom mold from joists

I will try and get some pictures when I am next there, probably at the weekend... In the meantime, I've had a look at the what dry rot is and I can say it is most definitely like this: only in my case 1000 times worse and on joists... (and a window frame it turns out!!) I have used...

    Removing mushroom mold from joists

Hi, I'm renovating an old 1903 house and have discovered a serious case of mold on two joists. I probably should have took some photos but needless to say the mold growing on a 2 to 3 foot section of the two joists is quite substantial and thick. It is white and light brown in colour. The...

    Dry lining wall boxes

These https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/FB4135.html look interesting. Not sure whether it is the angle of the photo, but the front edge looks rather narrow so likely to sit behind any fitting, maybe!!! Bit OTT though.

    Dry lining wall boxes

The boxes will be going in a variety of positions some of which will be ok to put noggins (the ones in internal partition walls) but I won't have that luxury on some external walls where there will be sound insulation followed by thermal insulation hence thinking now about all the potential...

    Dry lining wall boxes

I've had two scenarios with dry lining boxes where the sockets (and switches) fit on top of the box hence away from the wall where you can see the box between the wall and socket and other times where the socket fits over the box and flush with the wall. Which is it supposed to be? I would...

    Kitchen Tap Connectors

They look like they might be? I think I'll have to nip down to pick some up and have a look at them physically. I assume it doesn't matter that the tap end connected sections are different lengths - where these fit there is no way to do them up other than hand tight...

    Kitchen Tap Connectors

I am replacing a kitchen monobloc mixer tap and the new one has two of these supplied with them (both the same) Besides being too long, I already have two tails from the two isolator valves beneath them so I'd like to just replace these with pushfit connectors for ease, because as you can see...
