Thanks mate. Does anyone have the wiring diagram from the British Gas model Up2 aka Drayton LP722?? That way I can 100% confirm there is no 3 way valve without tearing the house down :)

No tampler light on there, although I have managed to reset the code by going into the engineer mode again. Thanks for the help

I can't see a three way valve in near the water tank upstairs so here's a picture of the keypad, boiler and pipe setup. I'm a boiler n00b so please use laymens terms :)
