I had a similar problem on an orion ghia injection. Turns out there was a split in the hose from the air box up to the plenium chamber. This was causing the air fuel mixture to go way off, basically too much air, which caused the engine to stall. 1 new hose (and £20)later and it was good as new. 8)

Employ someone who does, messing about with gas boilers is not advisable unless you are competent You're absolutely right. I am a machine tool maintenance engineer and competent on elec, mechanical and plumbing. When it come to the gas side it's time for a CORGI. thanks for all the help! 8)

I'll check the overtemp with a thermal gun to see if its operating when it should. I don't know how to check the low gas setting :oops:

Hi Again, after resetting the expansion vessel pressure, the CH system pressure has settled down. I still have the problem of the boiler cutting out on flame failure. The boiler will run for hours without a problem and then just cut out on flame failure. Can anyone tell me what temperature...
