Why is my garden tap/new hose leaking?

I think you’re right it’s leaking from the nut above. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need a plumber? Thanks

Why is my garden tap/new hose leaking?

Yes it’s screwed on tight. There’s no dirt as the connector is new.

Why is my garden tap/new hose leaking?

Thanks for the replies. I’ll try a metal one. Not the plastic isn’t split. A brand new one came with the hose and that still leaks.

Why is my garden tap/new hose leaking?

I’ve just bought my first hose pipe, set it up this morning and was disappointed to find it leaks badly when in use. It’s not the hose itself which is leaking but the tap connector that’s screwed into the tap. I’ve tried using the old connector, the new one that comes with the hose and with the...

Tile not sitting flat - easy fix?

This isn’t good news. I employed an NFRC company to do it but they subcontracted out to another company without telling me and I don’t think they’ve done the valleys right. The rear valley leaked the night they finished the roof. Do I get them back out to redo the bottom of the valleys? I have...

Tile not sitting flat - easy fix?

I had my roof redone before Christmas and I’ve noticed one of the tiles isn’t sitting flat on the roofline. I’ve phoned/emailed the company about this and they said they’d send someone round to sort it when they were in the area but haven’t been back. My guess is they think it’s such a small...

    New Roof Ventilation Question

It could have been there and it was harder to spot on the old felt. My old roof had much less ventilation, and non breathable felt. As I said in my post above, inside my roof space is now dry thanks to the strong winds yesterday and no new condensation has appeared overnight. I’m hoping it was...

    New Roof Ventilation Question

I I have those vents fitted instead of soffit ones. I can feel air coming up but I can’t see them from inside the roof space or looking up from outside. My question is about the ridge ventilation. Are all dry ridges vented? This is what the ridge from inside my loft looks like. Should there be a...

    New Roof Ventilation Question

I’ve been looking on Google but can’t find the answer to my question. I had a new roof put on last month with breathable membrane and vents in the eaves and ridge. Insulation was also upgraded. However since the roof went on I’m having really bad condensation in my loft that wasn’t there before...

Bad condensation problem in new roof space

I’ll have to look into getting one fitted. None of my neighbours have them but plenty have roof tile vents. I know at least a couple of the neighbouring houses have condensation issues.

Dry ridge ventilation system: has this been installed properly?

A close up photo of the apex. It looks like the old felt has been left up there.

Dry ridge ventilation system: has this been installed properly?

I’ve made a couple of posts about the condensation problem in my new roof space, I’m starting to question whether the ventilation system has been installed properly. From what I’ve read online there should be a gap in the felt at the apex but there doesn’t appear to be one in my roof space. Any...

Bad condensation problem in new roof space

Yes there are down lights/spot lights in the bathroom and en-suite. I didn’t put them in and need someone to go into my loft to look into that. Also we have an extractor fan that doesn’t work in the bathroom. I have put duct tape over the open vent in the bathroom but I suppose moisture could...
