Thanks. It's and old Tempus Seven. Is it the case that I can simply buy a new Tempus Seven and fix it to the old back-plate?

It's mains operated. I have turned it off and back on at the fused spur to see if it would somehow fix itself that way! predictably no luck.

My central heating is controlled via a Drayton Tempus Seven programmer gone haywire! The control box is turning on and off intermittantly and regularly (sometimes staying on for a few minutes, sometimes switching on and off every few seconds!), and therefore the boiler is constantly firing up...
