    Actually, you gave me a 'duh' moment. I can just lock the ZA5 on, make sure the valve is open and then yeh, use the power switch to the heating system to turn it off and on, that way no wear on the ZA5 motor (or yammimg screwdrivers in it) ...thanks

    Urgh, the boiler is outside, it's an oil one, so I have no thermostat, that's what the Nest does. Thanks for your help, I'll figure something, I just wanted to check there wasn't an easy way to get it to go all the way to B position. ****ing about with wires before Christmas, my Wife won't be...

    Cheers, in the ZA5 or in the Heatlink? I'd have to connect / disconnect everytime I want the heating off / though wouldn't I?

    3rd Gen. Just for heating, I'm using the emersion for hot water although the Nest can do it. Maybe easier to stick to the screwdriver method. I just wanted to check that there wasn't a simple way to do it with the manual lever.

    No, the power / life to it has gone completely, no lights, nothing. Is your solution still possible? How do I do that, cover off job?

    I have a 2 way Drayton ZA5 and if I move it manually the farthest it will go is mid-point (which doesn't engage the heating). The only way I to get it fully to the B position is to take it off of the wall and use a screwdriver then lock it in place. Am I missing something? I have 2 and they both...
