    Fix for low cavity trays

Thanks for the replies. I think the cavity trays will probably be doing their job where they are but I wasn't happy about the exposed render, the lack of lead upstand (which is about 40 or 50mm in places) and the gaps between the flashing. This is a new extension and there are no damp issues at...

    Fix for low cavity trays

Hello, On one side of our extension roof our builders put the cavity trays in too low and tried to dress the lead down on to the tiles. The cavity trays are above the roof line but the flashing is a mess and there are patches with just scratch coat of render. I posted about this in another...

    How to fix this flashing.

Is anyone able to explain the wonk on these ridges too and the raised top line of tiles. Have they also put cavity trays in one brick too low?

Given the width of the flashing around velux, is the up kick a problem?

Thanks for the responses. These are redland renoun smooth. Looks like cavity trays have gone in too low on the front porch extension also, messing up pitch of top tiles.

It's 17.5 with 100mm headlap for those. So think that's okay.

Yes, noticed velux too. Is there anyway to improve this. We live in a very exposed area facing SW.

    How to fix this flashing.

Hi, Our builders did this messy job of the flashing. The BCO has said they put the cavity trays in too low. Can anybody advise on how this might best be fixed. The other side of the roof is correct with 150mm lead upstand.

Our builders did this messy job of the flashing on our extension. BC said they put cavity trays in too low. Our plans show a 150mm upstand. The other side of the roof was done correctly. Any ideas how this could be fixed?
