the lead flashing over my porch roof looks really messy
i want to pebbledash it so that it matches the rest of the house
questions:
1. i guess i need some kind of beading so that i can finish with a straight edge, how do i fix this to the lead?
2. will the mortar stick to the lead?

I have double checked all the joints and the water is defo coming from the floor. I've sealed the bottom edges with sand & cement and still it keeps coming.
Is there a maximum depth that I can screed to?
You will need to put down some king of membrane (polythene sheet) else your floor could end up warping. Most floors require some kind of foam underlay and 'float' hence there is no need to glue them to the floor.
You can buy grout colours that you simply paint onto existing grout. For a better long term solution scrape the grout out (you can buy a special tool to do this) and then simply regrout in a colour of your choice.
I have a precast garage (3m x 6m) built on a 6 inch concrete base. When it rains the floor gets wet around the edges. I've sealed where the precast slab meets the base so I guess water must be making its way up from underneath the floor. I reckon I need to raise the floor by 60mm to resolve...
