    adding a radiator

The reason i ask is because when i turn on a hotwater tap upstairs the pressure is not anywhere near the pressure of the downstairs hot water tap. If i added an extra rad are you saying it could effect the pressure of the upstairs hot taps even more. Thanks

    adding a radiator

Hi, When you say power do you mean to heat the hot water or pressure?

    adding a radiator

Hi, I have calculated the Btu for each radiator and added them together. This gives me a total Btu of 28,252 Btu/h. From what i can tell the output of my Worcester 24CDI combi boiler is 81,900 Btu/h, which seems to be giving me a hell of a lot of extra capacity. :?:

    adding a radiator

Hi, It is 28mm from the boiler to under the floor upstairs. It then comes down into the back living room and to a rad in 24mm then goes to the second rad in 22mm. I want to fit a small rad in the kitchen which is on the other side of the wall to the rad that is fed with 24mm.

    adding a radiator

Hi, I have a Worcester combi 24CDI boiler with a shower and 9 radiators connected to it. What i would like to know is, how many radiators can this type of boiler take, as I would like to add an extra small 18in wide radiator in the kitchen to this system. Thanks.

    a new plaster board ceiling

Having given the patch a coat of emulsion the other day, i gave it a coat of Pollyriple this morning. It seems to have taken ok. All i can think of is that when i originally coated the whole ceiling with watered down emulsion i must have mist a couple of places. The only problem now is that you...

    a new plaster board ceiling

I have given the patches another coat of emulsion. I thought about unibond, but the adviser at Polycell advised against using this. I don`t know what to do??? As i have given it another coat of emulsion i will try pollyriple again, if it happens again i think i will give uni-bond a go.Thanks :?

    a new plaster board ceiling

I left the filler for about seven days before applying the polyriple. I have given the patches another coat of imulsion. I will leave this for a couple of days and then try the polyriple again, and cross my fingers.

    a new plaster board ceiling

What a disaster. I painted the plaster board (and also painted over the filler i had used on the joints), with watered down emulsion. Two days later i gave the ceiling a coat of polyriple with a roller. It looked good, apart for three patches were the polyriple has shrunk and blistered. This has...

    a new plaster board ceiling

I totaly agree with you, if you can afford it it is always best to have it skimed. However if i was to decide on using a textured paint. Would i have to prime the board with anything before painting it or not. Given that i have used tapered edge boards which can be used for painting or papering...

    a new plaster board ceiling

So if i was going to use artex or textured pain would i still have to seal it.

    a new plaster board ceiling

What would i use to seal it?? As to why paper it well, this is my first attempt at renewing a ceiling and although i have made sure the tapered joints look good i have a couple of joints that are made by having to butt two square ends together. I taped and filled them making sure i feathered the...

    a new plaster board ceiling

Hi, OK can I just clarify something. I have just re-newed a bedroom ceiling with tapered (cream) plasterboard. I have filled and taped all the joints and sanded them down. Can I paper directly onto this now or is it best to give it all a coat of, say emulsion paint before papering. Thanks.
