Every time the cold water tap is switched on a 'foghorn' type hooting comes from the pipes. It only stops if you turn the cold water tap off then on again. This has been happening since we had a new cloakroom plumbed in in April. Anyone any idea why, & what to do about it ? :?

Hi, It's ok, I don't need any help now :idea: - fiddled about behind the sink with a screwdriver, unhooked the plug & replaced it on top of the lever thingy it was fixed to & it works like a dream now, & is removeable for cleaning ! Magic !!! :D

Hi, I have just had a cloakroom sink installed with a B&Q monobloc 'Valencia' tap & pop up waste. Although the plug pops up & down it doesn't seem to be removeable. I have one in the bathroom which I thought was the same one, installed by a different plumber, which rests on a lever which pops...
