    Shower Pressure Issue

Hi, Hope you can help, getting to my wits end with this one... We have a positive, vented system (cold water tank in the loft) with a Salamander shower pump (1.5 or 2 bar I think) powering two showers. The pressure used to be superb but recently its less than it was. The pump is still...

Thanks again for the info - all makes sense when you hear from someone who knows what they're talking about. Needless to say, I've cancelled the cheque...

    Potterton Combi 100 tripping RCD

Thanks for the prompt reply guys - as predicted, there's water very slowly dripping from the "circular brass lump" onto the "chocolate box" connectors and wires below. Electricity and water? Hmmm... Is there a fix for this or do I need a new brass lump? (Sorry if I'm getting technical)...

Love your work Fitz - it's now Bahamas in the Basement! I've prolly got a job to balance all the rads to get even heat through the house, but I'm much better off than I was before. Thanks again.

    Cold Rad in Basement

Thanks for the quick reply Fitz. Do you mean just turn the TRVs off on the other rads?

    Combi boiler not firing up

I had this problem a couple of months ago with our combi (not a glow worm). My problem was that the fan/pump was not spinning at a fast enough speed to allow the ignition to light the gas (there's a computer in there managing all this stuff). A bit of WD40 worked for a couple of months...

    Cold Rad in Basement

Hi, Sorry to post *another* sob story about freezing in one part of the house, but any suggestions gratefully accepted. Here's the deal: - Rad in basement, possibly furthest from boiler - Combi boiler, so I'm assuming a closed system - rad has a lock value on one end and a thermo value...
