HAVE REPRESSURISED THE EX VESSEL AS INSTRUCTED BUT THE PRESSURE STILL RISES WHEN THE HEATING COMES ON.IT'S NOT THE FILLING LOOP AS IT'S NOT RISISNG WHEN THE HEATING IS NOT ON OR ONLY TH HW IS ON. DAMO.

Same old problem with POTTERTON PUMA 80 e.THE PRESSURE BUILDS UP ONCE THE HEATING COMES ON AND KEEPS RISING TILL THE PRESSURE VALVE RELIEVES IT. ANY COMMENTS WELCOME!! :twisted:

thanks Tony. I've done that already with the outlet tap open and everything else off. It improved and then went back to the same thing again.

The pressure only increases when it fires up so I don't think it's the filling loop. Other wise it would keep filling slowly all the time.What do you think? This doesn't make sense does it?

Do you mean the pressure in the exp vessel or the normal boiler pressure that you want me to set at 1??

Ok. I have done all you said and am sure I did it correctly but still no joy unfortunately. I called potterton and they said the expansion vessel should be at 1Bar so that is what I have it at. What next buddy??

I bet you're right. I was told to repressurise it to 0.9 but it seems to be too little. It has helped to slow down the build up of pressure so we're on the right track.
