sorry no pva on the painted area at all do i need to key the wall up with ginder or brick hammer also why dont you use pva and just soak the wall many thanks

i am just about to do a small rendering job on side of my house a square section under my bay window has been done with slightly textured render and painted over the rest of house is brick except from this section do i pva this section before scratch coat or do i just soak like rest of wall...

SO DO I JUST SOAK THE WALL NO PRIMING NEEDED AND WHAT ABOUT THE ADDITIVES MANY THANKS

i am rendering my my house & i am going over old existing brickwork do i need to pva before applying scratch coat also have brought rendamix to add to cement which is waterproofer / retarder & plasticiser will this stop render cracking or blowing and do i put it in both coats.
