Tried cleaning it but still get the flashing lights. Could this be the sensor?

Hi all, I have just bought a indesit idl 500 dishwasher second hand just to get me going and the first time i used it, it comes up with two flashing green lights number 2 and 4. From what I've read it says it is a problem with the heating circuit. Now the machine seems to go threw its cycle ok...
