No the fitting is in the kitchen and no none of the wires are cut short. The 4 x green/yellow wires are all twisted together coming out of the ceiling

Hi and many thanks for your reply. The wires coming from the ceiling are 3 x red (linked together going into a small box) 1 x single red. 2 x black twisted together (no box) and 4 x green/yellow (twisted together no box)

Hi am at a total loss!! Having stupidly purchased an Ikea ceiling light I notice that the wiring on the light is coloured brown and blue (2 x 3 or each colour) going into a block. However the wires on the ceiling are red (x 4), black (x 2) and green/yellow (x 4). Can anyone please advise which...
