Old wallpaper - How do I stick down small areas ?

If that isn't stroppy and bully-ish like, I'd like to know what is. I was responding to what was being dished out and I didn't like what I heard. If there is supposed to be help being given in these forums, then the help shouldn't come laden with such unacceptable tones and attitudes...

Old wallpaper - How do I stick down small areas ?

Gcol appears to defend his "attitude problem" which is an immature and bully-boy attitude that we are all familiar with from old school days. Gcol could have chosen to tell me WHY caulk is an option, rather than dishing out the "just accept it" attitiude. He can't just issue directives, like...

Old wallpaper - How do I stick down small areas ?

Hey gcol - less attitude OK! If something doesn't sound right, its my right to ask and its not for you to tell me what I should accept. If it stands up to scrutiny, then you shouldn't be bothered by questions. [/b]

Bi-Fold door to bathroom - how to lock ?

Because of tight space, I've had a bi-fold door fitted to a bathroom, but I'm having trouble working out what kind of lock to fit that is secure. Just having a simple hook-type lock doesn't prevent the centre section of the door from being pushed in. Any ideas ?

Stone chippings on a flat felt roof.

I like masona's slogan. True and easy for everyone to assess.

Stone chippings on a flat felt roof.

^woody^: Do you know what is the best solution for a flat roof? I have seen some that are painted with a shiny silver coating - is that any good ? If I'm going to have a new roof, I don't like the idea of putting felt on again, so what would you or anyone say is my best choice, regardless of...

New bath and taps - Limescale stains where water hits bath?

So my taps are definitely dripping then, even if I can't see or feel any water coming out ? John D: I would consider a water softener, but I have nowhere to install the device nor the bulky salts. Also, I think it is the place of the water companies to sort the hard water problem in this...

New bath and taps - Limescale stains where water hits bath?

I have had a new bathroom installed recently and it has been used for about 3 weeks. However, for some reason, there are limescale stains at the point where the water from the tap meets the bath surface, the part leading up to the overflow area. The tap is not dripping and I have not left it...

Stone chippings on a flat felt roof.

I had this type of roof laid about 20 years ago, but each year since, I have had to get up on the roof and scoop out of the gutters about one carrier bag full of stone chippings that have blown into them. Is there a way of stopping this from happening or is there a permanent solution ?
