I can use plugs and screws but thought a bracket system would be quicker and also mean I can lose any irregularities in the wall by leveling each stud without scribing it.
I may use a metal system as suggested but I have services runninrgb horizontally along the wall. Guess there is no issue...

Thanks for the quick reply. I meant to say a certificate of lawfulness. All the plans fall within the permitted development criteria so I can just get on with it, I just wanted it for peace of mind in the future.
