Well hilariously when I replaced the element and it didn't work I assumed it wasn't that so put the original element back in. Now I have an oven that works but doesn't heat up so I'll have to put the new element back in and hope it is that. Thank goodness I didn't return it as intended. As least...
Update. Just read these threads and was about to reply to say the main oven is working absolutely fine and there is no power at all getting to the other oven, no fan light. I thought I'll just set the clock to see what happens and voila, the other oven suddenly springs into life when switched on!
