Could someone please tell me what the minimum height from the ground level to the bottom of both the gas and electric meter boxes should be. Both boxes a the flush type. I have read on a few pages they should be 450mm for electric and 500mm for gas however I have seen properties in my area...

Flush Gas Meter Box Fitted to Single Brick Wall

Thanks guys. The back of the box will be covered by studwork/insulation/plasterboard/plaster/paint :) so that is not an issue. The meter will be less than 2 metres from the front of the property.

Flush Gas Meter Box Fitted to Single Brick Wall

Just wanted to know if this can be done. I need to move my gas meter as I'm doing a garage conversion. Need thinner insulation boards, but can it be done.

I have no idea what you mean here, could you please explain on how this is achieved. Will the 100mm Celotex give the correct u value that the building regs require?

Chappers, spoke to the BCO again today, was told Tri-ISO can't be used. However they did come up with another solution: 50mm ventilation, 50mm celotex, Thinsulex I will still lose about 30mm more than I want to but its better 75mm.

Would you know what U value the Building Regs are after for the flat roof? Saves me waiting to call her in the morning and can do the research tonight.

Thanks for the suggestion, losing 35mm is better than losing 75mm. Sorry not sure what you mean by this.

Currently doing a garage conversion on a house that I recently bought. Using Celotex with a thickness of 75mm for the floor and walls won't be a problem. However have had the building regs round today and they are stating that for the roof we need to have a 50mm ventilation gap and then 125mm...
