I have to put the flue from my cooker hood through a flat roof (warm) am I right in thinking it is a relatively simple job of cutting the correct sized hole through the roof, putting a weather proof collar over the flue (with its rain cap) with the collar going under the felt/roof covering? And...
Thanks for that, it looks as if I can't go to the side
1. I'd have create my own exit hole in the side of the chimney section
2. I'm told that venting out along a length of 3m or greater is not recommended and I have 5m to travel
Therefore
I must go directly out the back of the chimney...

I'm about to buy a cooker extractor hood but I have an internal kitchen.
The kitchen configuration is such that I must vent to the right and along the wall where it will eventually meet some fresh air (once I've put a hole through two cavity walls - don't ask!)...
