    Cold roof insulation

Would this still work with the 50mm PIR I have and the restrictions I have with the height?

    Cold roof insulation

Would you bond with an adhesive or just screw together? It's a large garage currently and half of it will be turned into an office by building an insulated wall to separate the two, the office space would be heated when used - otherwise just the warmth from the servers that would always be on...

    Cold roof insulation

Sorry technical issues with getting back on, that kick is caused by the fascia boards and is the same for next door, they have no interest in changing it so assume can't do mine to be a different level? How would you suggest I sort the gutter? I don't like it running onto the roof but I can't...

    Cold roof insulation

Hi, See attached - the roofer that came out to quote for the new flat roof said there is not enough space due to this corner and how it sits. Thanks in advance Demo

    Cold roof insulation

Hi, I hadn't seen this no, but I think this is saying I need to put a mushroom at ever joist run ? Surely this would be bad on a felt roof ? Thanks again Demo

    Cold roof insulation

Hi, Trying to convert my garage into an office and am struggling to work out insulation, the joists run side to side - one side is flush with the house and the other is into the garden so can't have side to side ventilation. The joists are directly into the brickwork with no vents and soffits...

    Garage Insulation

Sorry I meant foil backed cellotex board, but sounds like I still need the vapour barrier. For doubling up I meant could I either use ,50mm of cellotex and stick another 50mm to it some how making 100mm then the vapour barrier then plasterboard over the top, or use rock wool in the wooden frame...

    Garage Insulation

Thanks for the clarity, do I still need it if the board is foil backed ? I have already got the board as it was left over from when I did my roof, can I double it up, or use a combination of rock wool and then the board ? I currently don't have any vents as the roof joists to straight to brick...

    Garage Insulation

Hi, I want to convert my garage to use it as a study area, It is single brick with flat roof and as such I plan to create a frame out of wood to allow me to install 50mm foil backed cellotex insulation on all external walls whilst leaving a gap between the warm side and cold side & then...

    Dry Ridge between two roofs

So I would shape a piece of lead to bridge the two sections then run the dry system over the top and put the tiles as close to each other as possible ?

    Dry Ridge between two roofs

Yeah this is what I am leaning to, I can find loads of prefab ones for different joints but not this so may have to be a manual made one - didn't really want to use mortar to bed then all in if I can help it. Will reach out to Marley and see what they say as they also sell the dry system, if...

    Dry Ridge between two roofs

Hi, I am fitting a dry ridge system as part of a bigger roof tile replacement project & need some advice, this is on a bungalow with Dorma's - my question is this, the ridge on the Dorma's are the same height as the ridge on the main roof so require connecting, currently they are joined as per...
