Here is what to do: Remove the whole MacDee unit with a quarter turn anti-clockwise as described earlier in the thread. You will notice 4 backets on the top of the big white sealed cyliner. You can carefully pop this open with the base of a tea spoon (being careful not to crack the unit)...
