Im pretty sure it was called an intermediary flue. It was a repair kit the nPower/Homeserve bloke fitted. No need to go and find the invoice for it, but it was to correct a corroded flue.

I have a Potterton Prima F 50 boiler.
I have just changed out the air pressure switch as the boiler wouldnt fire. Turns out the switch for some reason was full of water. Multimeter on the switch showed that it did work, but the fact that it was full of water prevented it from working.

I have 6 lamps on one cable run (series is that?) so I wasn't sure if I needed one suppressor across the 1st lamp (or even in the junction) or do I need one per lamp at the lamp.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Downstairs on 1 way switch is fine. Upstairs on 2 way is staying dim all night.
Would you need one of those 'filters' per lamp or would one be suffice at the start of a line ? I'm assuming it goes 'in line' on the live?
