    thanks for your help ,john,lads its up and running now. the oil solenoid had shorted inside and blew the box . i threw in new fan bearings as well while i waited on new box, so a warm hoose again

    the overheat stat was ok , top panel still working as normal but no life at burner , i will check this fuse at the pcb next , i have a new control box coming, but theres hope in the meantime if i find a blown fuse at pcb. thanks

    i have soldered behind connector 5 and the fans not kicking in so unless there is a fuse to blow in the timer board where the timer is up top? what voltages should i see from the top board coming down from the timer board to the control box`?

    ok folks , i disconnected the pc annd it didnt energise solenoid , i wired the solenoid straight and it worked as it should. the initial problem was the fuse blew on boiler , i changed that and on initial try to start i gave a good spark inside the control box , i have since opened it up...

    That's great thanks , the reason I asked the voltage was I'm sure I seen around 45-60 volts at the solenoid . I will double check it when I check the ohms of pc . thanks again
