    Knauf Proroll Max Plaster

Might be the easiest but will leave a hollow

    Knauf Proroll Max Plaster

If I was to use plasterboard, I would probably mechanically fix to the wall using mushroom fixings. I would say variation in terms of the wall being uneven is 4mm to 5mm max. That might be outside the scope of the roll on plaster recommended tolerances

    Knauf Proroll Max Plaster

Thanks. Thought it might have been handier than any other option if it is as good as it says. The sanding option is tempting. Not sure hardwall would allow that When one has a solid concrete block wall, dot and dab seems a waste

    Knauf Proroll Max Plaster

Would this be suitable for putting straight onto a concrete block wall? It is a wall that was previously panelled Obviously the option to use bonding and then skim is there but I want an easier way if this worked

    Composite door "shudder"

When the door slams it shudders at the point where the side panel is connected to the door frame. My concern is that over time when the outside reveal is plastered, that (a) the external plaster will crack with the constant vibration and (b) the vibration will also crack the hardwall inside.

    Composite door "shudder"

I have the exact same problem Front Door with two narrow side panels in glass. The door is fitted properly and strapped at 5 points overhead but there is still a shake I have not rendered the outer reveal overhead yet, so I presume I will need something like this, which is strong but flexible...

    Rendering below DPC line

What is the best thickness ratio between scratch and finish coat? 10mm scratch approx and 10mm finish coat approx? Also, if I get into difficulty with rain, is it OK to stop the scratch coat half way through the job, or am I best to continue. Is joining scratch coat good practice, or will the...

    Rendering below DPC line

Thanks for the information. 1.Would you be recommending scratch coat down to ground level behind a single coat the bellcast bead? or Would you recommend a two coat bellcast bead fixed directly to the substrate? 2.The finish I am aiming to match alongside is a a straight vertical render...

    Rendering below DPC line

Is the following an appropriate solution. You may see the fine white lines that indicate the stop beads back to back Also the back wall is the wall that faces the vast majority of heavy rainfall. Would it be beneficial to have two scratch coats before the finish coat, or would loading with...

    Rendering below DPC line

I have a question that might or might not be relevant An existing garage/shed had a small extension added to the back The original shed is rendered with a break at the DPC line where a 'step inwards' or 'recess' is formed. I would not call it a bell cast as it is more of a squared off finish...
