Thanks. Yes it's just a garage. Nothing on top. I was considering insulation because if we are going to take the board down, might as well do it in one go if the cost of insulating it is not too expensive. The only thing is I'm not sure to what extend the garage ceiling needs repairing...

The only I know is the roof is made of felt. I'm not sure whether it's double board or fire boarded to be honest. £160-£200 - is that for a day's work to get the board replaced for the whole garage? I don't remember the garage being a huge one. Just a car size probably? What about insulation...
