They took the ventilation out when they completed the damp proofing so I will try this first. Thank you both

I had my downstairs damp proofed due to rising damp. Discovered damp hearth. Old fire place blocked up and damp proofed. Roofer doesn’t seem to think it’s the chimney. I work away, when I’m away and no heating or water is used it still gets damp. Any ideas?
