@HERTSDRAINAGE2010 the bathroom tap wasn't a named brand so i'll replace that and take it on the chin, but the kitchen tap is a franke fuji silk, not a cheap tap by any means.
@Charnwood it does feel like something was missed in the assembly, sure it is a real franke product just not...

Looks like I'll have to look for a better tap for the bathroom then, thanks for the heads up @HERTSDRAINAGE2010, they weren't particularly cheap but I'll look for a replacement low-pressure tap...

Any idea how I could fix either/both? Both look like simple mistakes installing them rather than anything more serious.
