    Hi, to save plumber's time I can always buy it myself :wink: The incoming mains pipe is 15mm, the pipes coming out of the cylinder and the tank are 22, then reduced to 15

    That's exactly what I though £400 ? I'm not sure what the pressure from mains is but it's pretty good when running a single tap. The Cylinder is an Indirect one unvented with expansion vessel. Thanks

    That's exactly my problem, the pipes are all hidden so there is no way of moving the pump downstairs :( Some of you suggest standard pump so I can't understand why the plumber advises £400 one + 3bars seems a lot, i don't need that much :)

    When it was connected to mains then on a few ocassions I almost got burnt when someone in the house turned kitchen tap on or flushed the loo whilst showering.

    the pressure from the tank is really low so I want to increase it by installing a pump, As for the noise, I suppose that will also apply to basin and the bath taps + it doesn't really take long to fill up the loo cistern so it wouldn't be much of a problem :D The problem I have is that...
