Tks for the link,i checked it but it doesn`t mention the model i have,the handle on the page is very similar but i can`t see the four plastic ribs on the back or the screw clearance hole inbetween them.Neerest number is VTD00P and i have a VTD00 ?

They dont normally ware out what tends to happen is the wedge on the opener closes the wrong side of the frame receiver and pushes the window away,to check this take one side off and see if it closes then.
Or as its a dry fit sometimes its a heavy ressistance and doesnt sit fully,try oiling...
In both cases its your friction stays ie hinges that have failed/worn out.
I notice somebody said change one,unless you can find the exact same hing you should ALWAYS change both as the opening arc is different from one hinge manafacturer to the next and if you mix them you will find the...

The most common reason for this lack of seal is that the window hinge is wearing out and no longer pulling the window in tight,besides the locking system on the one side of your opening vent this is the only other tensioner on the window and is the opposite side.

Oil it and try again and yes the door is VERY HEAVY (especially fully glazed)so best do it with some help if you intend to try it yourself as they not allways easy to lift back on and align again.
If the door has dropped and the latch is out of line there are three fixes.
1. Proper fix is to re pack the glazing to lift the door back into square and properly distribute /point the load/weight,this is called `Toe & Heeling` as a layman i dont suggest you try this but get a local repair man...
