Cavity wall tray for New Conservatory

How difficult is it to install a cavity tray, does it mean the removal of a row of bricks (say 10 at a time) then fit the tray and then replace the bricks, and so on. Is there a best practice for this job, or is it best left to the proffessionals.

Cavity wall tray for New Conservatory

This seems to be a new selling point, is it really nessasary, or is it one of those peace of mind things, i am of the opinion that it's better done now rather than later when the damp starts to come through. Any thoughts please.

Having had a worcester engineer out in april to fix a fault and service my boiler, can i get him to come back as the same problem has now returned. What do you think please. If you want to see what the problem was just do a search on my user name in plumbing and central heating. Dunkyboy.

Update...... Had a Worcester service engineer out today, £170 with 3 parts fitted, and he has serviced the boiler. The air expansion thingy was empty, - no pressure. The fan was replaced, had not realised how noisey the old one had become. The boiler had been running too hot, there...

    Soffit replacement

My neighbour was quoted £800 just to remove asbestos  . I have been told to drill pilot holes when fixing and wear a dust mask. I'm still shopping for a cheaper supplier as i think that 2k is rather a lot just for front/back.

Not intending to remove asbestos, will go over the top of it.

    Soffit replacement

iam thinking of putting up some plastic soffits and guttering/downspouts myself. Is this a diy job, or would it be better to get it done proffessionaly. Currently there is absbestos soffits, and i would just go over the top of it. Hiring some scaffolding will cost £100 week. The cost of...

    conditioner drawer won't empty (Bosch)

We had a similar problem when we got our new Hoover 1100, no matter what we did the conditioner was still in the draw at the end of the wash. In the end after several visits by various engineers, we were advised to change the conditioner brand as the one we were using was too thick/heavy as the...

I'm slightly brassed off, that i thought i was getting 5 star treatment from good old British Gas, when in actual fact i was getting a basic check up. If the BG Engineer thought there was some problem, surely they would of mentioned it, even if it wasn't safety related. (I would of thought...

I am hoping that a service will put things right. Does it have to be a Corgi registered plumber to do this work.

Thankyou for the help, it would appear from what you've said that the boiler has never been serviced. Not sure who to contact for this, will have to look in the yellow pages  , or if i contact the boiler manufacturer, would they recommend a plumber perhaps. Many thanks for all your help.

forgot to mention, the radiators are fine, no problems, the setting for the radiators on the boiler panel is/has always been on the next to full setting.....i don't know why, it was like that from installation so we just assummed to leave it there, the hot water setting is on full setting. Thanks

The boiler has been serviced by British Gas, this takes about 15 mins and comprises connecting a laptop to it, and £75 thankyou very much.It was last looked at early last year, it has never required any work. The boiler trips out after a couple of hours, we only notice when the radiators go...
