Conservatory / drains - issue with constructors

Firstly apologies as I had origninally posted this in the building section but think it would be better suited in here: We had a conservatory built by a reputable local company about 18 months ago. They handled the entire construction, base, walls, windows and the roof etc - the ground works...

    Conservatory / Drain Woes

Hello, I am after some advice, hopefully you'll be able to help? We had a conservatory built by a reputable local company about 18 months ago. They handled the entire construction, base, walls, windows and the roof etc - the ground works included removal of the existing patio. We have...

Shower pump comes on when it shouldn't!

There are no dead legs on the "circuit" that supplies the shower. There is one cold feed dead leg that used to supply the old electric shower but this has water going right to the cap (an inline valve). Any further tests I can do or look for?

Shower pump comes on when it shouldn't!

Hello I'm after some advice. We have a non pressurised heating system for our hot water (and central heating). A gas bolier but not combination so the hot water is stroed in a tank. A few months ago we had a new shower installed that feeds from the hot water tank but is pumped via a 3 bar...

    No earth bonding

Here are the pics of the meter and the only earth bonding that I could find, which was connected to the gas pipe. The water supply comes into the house via a plastic pipe to a metal stopcock. http://www.albionimages.co.uk/test/meter.jpg http://www.albionimages.co.uk/test/meter1.jpg...

    No earth bonding

One other thing I should mention is that we have a support contract with British Gas for our sockets and wiring etc. Is this something they should have picked up on when they did the initial site survey, do I have any comeback to make them retrofit the necessary earthbonding??

    No earth bonding

No offence taken, I am not sure at the moment about the earthing arrangements, as I am at work. I will take a look tonight. If I do need an electrician to come out and do the work, whats involved and how much £'s would we be looking at?

    No earth bonding

My wife has been told by an electrician who was at our our house to install some sockets in our newly built conservatory that there is no earth bonding to our water pipe and that he could not find any other earthing for our system!! I am not sure if it was that he couldn't find it or if we...

    Radiator without bleed valve

Hello having moved house earlier this year I have noticed a problem. I have a small radiator in the third bedroom that has no bleed valve (the radiator is newer than all the rest in the house and has obviously been replaced at some point). The problem that I now have is that having drained the...
