    Its joining onto a 9in solid wall. The reveal i would like to be 2.4 ish metres. Its single story so it will be 3/4 courses of brick then the roof,which is pitched an tiled.

    It depends on the extent of it, is it soft on the inside of the garage? and is it in little patches or all over? see how far you can rake it out with a screwdriver to see how deep it is. if its not too bad rake it and point it.

    Don't pay the balance until your local planning office has checked and agreed with his calculations. If he thinks he's right then he's got nothing to worry about.. seems very expensive for calcs and drawings!!! :shock:

    hi, I'm going to build a small extension on the back of may house. The one thing bugging me is tying the 73mm outer to the 215mm inner block?? do you have to cut blocks?, do you use screw in ties? are there any ties specifically for the job. any help and tips would be gratefully received.
