Anybody? What do you do with the spindle if you remove the outside handle?

I have a set of French doors on a juliette balcony with a cheap euro cylinder. So it definitely needs a security upgrade. I'm thinking about swapping the handle on the outside for a blank plate and half barrel lock but what do I do with the spindle? I also have a set down stairs that I want...
