Electricity supplier came this morning (turned up 75 minutes late). They said everything is wired correctly and they said (as JohnD did above) that I am probably getting more cheap electricity than I should be.

The indicator neon come son 22.30 to 08.00 so these are not the off-peal times as told by my supplier. I checked my meter readings last night. At 22.30 they were Rate 1: 56, Rate 2: 9, Rate 3: 420. This morning they are Rate 1: 57, Rate 2: 10 and Rate 3: 447.

Yes if I turn off the storage heater box and turn on the boost timer the light on the e7bx comes on . There's a cable left hand top of e7bx which goes behind the board and I think then going up to the main fuse box. Earlier I said this wire was going to the immersion but now i think it's going...

Out of e7bx one ca.ble to the box which controls night storage heaters other I thin to immersion. I know the night storage heaters are on but I can't tell what times they are storing the heat. I've stil got them on as I live near benson which is coldest place in England still frosty most mornings

So there is a timer inside the e7bx which somehow Set itself to come on at 2230 and go off at 0800 despite the fact it has never been touched since installed when I moved in 12 years ago and worked correctly for several years
