Q, Still not sure how you tested the pump. You may have varied the speed, but how did you ascertain that the revs were correct and the torque sufficient?
A, The Speed and Torque are pre-set on the pump. The operating voltage for the pump in 240v. Slowly wind the variac to the operating...
I used a bottle of c/heating flusher cleanser to flush the system and then put some Inhibitor in afterwards.
Iv got a 0-300Vac Variac so i connected the pump to it and wound the voltage up.
If you think i need to flush it again what chemicals do you suggest i use?
Yes i did my own DIY power flush, i hired the equipment and brought the sluge remover liquid and inhibitor. I did about 6 to 8 hours flushing the system in both directions.
The boiler make and model is:
Baxi Solo 2 60pf
the pump in the airing cupboard is working ok because i tested it when i did the power flush before i put it back on. Are there any other pumps, perhaps in the boiler somewhere?
Hi can anybody help?
my central heating system has been making strange banging noises for a little while now and i'm not sure what it is. I have recently done a power flush through the system as i was advised that this would solve the problem, however it hasn't and the banging noise has...
I am a little confused about the Zs values.
Example:
A TN-S system supplies a 32A type B 60898 c/b. The Zs for this must be no more then 1.44 Ohms. However my book also states that the maximum earth fault loop impedance for a TN-S system should not exceed 0.8 Ohms.
Can some one help me with this?
I am installing a new consumer unit in a 1970’s house and need to extend the existing gas and water bonding conductors.
