The hopper was already there, it mainly collects water from next door's roof.
My gutter was not previously connected to it. I did not ask for it to be connected the way it has been.
I have three concerns.
1) The guttering now goes into the hopper, it was not previously connected; the hopper is connected to next door's system. The hopper has been cut into and silicon used, this doesn't seem ok to me. Is there a joining mechanism that should have been used?

Thank you, this is really helpful. It’s going to cost £100 for them to apply the foam on one window. I’m not confident it’s even going to help. Best to put that towards some kind of secondary glazing.
