Get my Unichrome shower tower off the wall!

Simple question, but how is the above fixed to the wall? I am assuming it's behind the mixer taps, but don't want to tug on them too much for fear of breaking them. Have a small leak which is prob just a connection needing tightening. Piccie below, thanks!!

Convert Sky aerial to normal aerial?

hmm interesting alternative. We do have a sky box from our old house which still works (I think). Freesat doesn't (I believe) have E4, which is a fave of the wife's. However it's certainly a cheap option I might consider as well. Thanks!!

Convert Sky aerial to normal aerial?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the dish is actually about 2/3 of the way up the house, roughly level with the bedroom ceiling (it has access from a flat roof on a new extension so is relatively safe) I am aware it may not be high enough, now pointing the right way. It's 10 mins work to find out...

Convert Sky aerial to normal aerial?

Thanks, I'll certainly check out the positioning of other aerials in my neighbourhood. I could always extend the cable if needs be - just means i'm not starting from scratch. thanks for the above advice re the dish! I'll get a new aerial

Convert Sky aerial to normal aerial?

Great news thanks. No there is no aerial there on the roof or in the roof. I'll get some new connectors and see how it goes. Any have any experience of using the Sky dish AS an aerial ? ;-)

Convert Sky aerial to normal aerial?

OK, the scenario. Old Sky dish and cable routed into the house I've just bought. Freeview box has not as good signal as previous house desipte powered tv top aerial. If I get a roof aerial and put it where the Sky dish is (which I don't want), can I use the same sky lead that is already...

Waterproof bathroom/kitchen sealant easier said than done !!

davegriff, I can completely sympathise with you. I have gone through the same thing with my bath. In the end I took off the new sealant as it looked cr*p, and started again. Second time was much better. Useful to fill the bath with water a few hours before you do it, so that the sealant does...

    patio cleaning

Also, make sure all your patio is sound. A pressure washer will take off flakey concrete / brick without a thought! Also watch the 'grouting' (this may be soil or something though) as it may take this out as well!

    Shower grout problem

I've recently re grouted my shower and changed the awful wood panelling (previous person put it in around the bath, yuk). with tiles. That side of it works fine, However as you can see in the enclosed picture, the plastic surround I have added on to seal over the edge of the tiles will not...
