There is currently a 50mm gap between insualtion and the slates (There is no felt, just slate) This is continuous from one of the eaves, over the ridge tile and down to the other eaves. Just wasnt sure about the party walls, presume any insulation would be better than none.

Thanks for the quick reply. There is a Velux roof window fitted already. Take it that this would be enough to ventilate the place? Both neighbours already use their lofts but unsure about insulation in their properties. Sounds like it would be best to insulate both walls, just wasnt sure...

Hi everyone, Going to be fitting a Velux window soon but the gap from the top of the window to the top of the ridge will be just over 12 inches. Will this still be ok?
