    Candy grand washing machine problem

Ok just a quick update, one of the brushes for the motor has split in half. New ones are ordered and should be here this week. I'll update once fitted.

    Candy grand washing machine problem

Finally got round to trying the speed sensor test, got 0v reading. Whether that's my crappy meter or not though I couldn't definitely say. Had it set to 20v ac and probing the 2 red wires for the sensor. Also disconnected the belt out of curiosity, no change. Might be worth a gamble on the...

    Candy grand washing machine problem

I tested continuity across the senor wires as per a youtube video from espares. He was a bit vague on what the reading should be but I've read various things like between 1k and 2k ohms. I know on a car if an abs sensor ohms are out the sensor needs replaced, figured it's a similar set up and...

    Candy grand washing machine problem

Brushes are huge, loads left on them. Also took out pump, all perfect. When it cuts out during spin it's not like the faulty brushes where the motor stops and starts or runs slow and makes sparky noises. It's like something that controls it is telling it to stop. Only does the random thing...

    Candy grand washing machine problem

The machine runs through a full cycle of washing no bother, it's just the weird spin cycle. It wont get up to a steady speed like it used to. I've checked the drain etc, if I take the pipe and hold it in the sink and watch, the water comes flowing out without any issues. Cheers

    Candy grand washing machine problem

Here's a quick vid of the actual problem and what happens during the test mode. (And yes the bearing is a bit noisy but there's no play yet and I don't want to throw in a bearing if the other problem isn't sorted) I tried counting the flashes but gave up at a 100 lol

    Candy grand washing machine problem

I have a Candy grand washing machine model GO 282 that has developed a spin problem. The speed keeps fluctuating like it's trying to get up to speed then cuts out, tries again and cuts out. It keeps going until the wash is finished. No fault codes flash up. I tried the self test mode, fills...

    Candy grand o no water

Yeh I've come across a number of threads on various things where the answer was never posted! The resistor was a 100ohm and 2 watt, brown black brown gold. I had to use google images to get the colour code as it was to far gone to read the colours. it cost me £2.50 of your finest British...

    Candy grand o no water

Ok for anyone finding this thread with the same sort of issue replacing that resistor has fixed my machine. I think the faulty water valve solenoid thing just drew to much current which fried the resistor. The thing that made sense to me was the fact that everything else worked fine, all the...

    Candy grand o no water

I've decided just to buy the resistor first and see how that goes, do you think maybe the water valve solenoid thing just drew to much current and fried it? I'm not an expert on these electronics by any means, just know how to use a soldering iron and can replace parts easy enough.

    Candy grand o no water

Ok so I removed the pcb to take a look, think I may have found a problem lol And also this chip was a bit sooty And on the back That was after giving it a wipe, still a bit blackened though. I looked up the board part number 41026074 and found plenty but it seems they need...

    Candy grand o no water

Ok valve replaced and still no water, water pressure is fine, the shut off tap works fine too. Not sure where to look next. Maybe that pressure sensor thing with the pipe from the bottom of the drum? I've no idea lol

    Candy grand o no water

No there's zero water going in, that's why I was looking at the solenoid. No expert though, just used Google to get this far lol.

    Candy grand o no water

Hi all, got a candy grand o GO282/1-80, when I switch it on to do a wash it lights up as normal and you hear the door locking but that's all. I tried the self test thing from a thread on here and it comes up with the code 2. I've pulled the inlet solenoid and I'm testing the ohms, I get about...
