    Part P + Upgrading Oven

Suppose that was why I couldn't find one ... and I can say, I did look fairly hard !!!

    Part P + Upgrading Oven

Sorry guys - I'm not up on the terminology ... I actually meant the front piece with the switch on it ... I have to admit I didn't think about the idea of a double back and using two singles on the front. One as a blank. I was actually looking for a single cooker switch in a double...

    Part P + Upgrading Oven

Riveralt: I would have gone with that option if my kitchen socket wasn't mounted on tiles. As it is, I need a single 45A switch in a double pattress sized switch cover. That way as you say, I wouldn't need to change anything and the wife would be happy :-)

    Part P + Upgrading Oven

The logic of changing the circuit breaker was why i was asking about the part P stuff. As I wasn't changing the cabling, I thought I would be okay, but with the MCB changing, I'm effectively changing the configuration of the circuit, so was wondering. Really happy if I don't need to get...

    Part P + Upgrading Oven

Hi all, Please be gentle. I'm trying to work out where I stand and if I am allowed to replace my oven myself (part P and if my logic is correct. I have an oven connected to the consumer unit on a dedicated 6mm run (through cooker switch ( big red on/off and 13A socket ). The consumer...
