Thanks, Breezer - that was the kind of thing I had in mind, so the earth clamp looks very useful!

I understand that plastic pipes, as such, don't need earthing, but I'm replacing just a section of copper piping with plastic, so can anyone tell me whether I need to use earth wire around the plastic section, please? Thanks in advance to anyone who's kind enough to advise!
