    Thank you all for your comments, I think I'll go for the Homeflame Dream. [b]gas4you The Homeflame Dream is an inset fire, that's why I queried the efficiency. That's progress I suppose.

    I am about to replace my ageing homeflame fire. I fancy the Valor Dream, but it's only about 49% efficient. According to Valor the Homeflame Dream is 89% efficient, I cannot see how they can acheive this figure, has anyone any experience of this fire. I await your comments.

    Glue removal

    When my upvc windows were fitted about 10 years ago the installer fitted a upvc trim around the windows inside the reveal. The trim was to hide the damaged plaster,and was glued down one edge to the window frame. I have now had some replastering done and removed the trims, but cannot remove...

    I worked for bg for 32 years as a service fitter, servicing cookers, fires, boilers. commercial and domestic. fortunately in those days we had depots where we could congregate to discuss with colleagues any jobs which were giving us problems. I understand now that you do not have that luxury...
