Hi, Andy i just had the same prob, got an engineer out and it was the motor on the diverter valve had packed in. new motor on and it fine now. my boiler was a worcester bosch tho. Hope that helps good luck. Dave.

thanks for responding so quick chris. but no the pipe doesent get hot. i have thermastatic valves on my radiators. i have followed the fault finding proceedgers in my user manual and it points to the water diverter valve. but i would like a second opinion on it.

HI, I HAVE A WORCESTER BOSCH 280 RSF COMBI BOILER. am getting hot water ok but central heating is not working. When i switch heating on the boiler fires up for about 30 seconds then stops, but the pump stays on and every now and then the boiler will fire up again but for 30 secs and then stop...
